LOS ANGELES - Flyers chairman Ed Snider welcomed a large group of visitors to his mansion in Montecito, Calif., on Thursday afternoon.
Namely, his entire hockey team, coaches, and assorted club personnel.
The entourage arrived by bus after practicing at a Santa Barbara rink that has a connection to Snider, who has been battling cancer for about two years.
Snider, 82, shook hands, and hugged his visitors.
"It was awesome," defenseman Luke Schenn said of the two-hour visit. "It was very nice of him to have us over to his house. I don't think too many players can have the opportunity to go to their owner's house.
