The Philadelphia Flyers entered the weekend with a chance to bury their division rivals in their first of two games against the Rangers.
New York got out to an early lead as a shot went off Carter Hart’s glove and into the back of the net. That was all the fire power that the Rangers would have in this game. It was all Flyers from that point.
Sean Couturier opened up the scoring for the Orange and Black before the first period ended. Jake Voracek got the puck behind the net, made a quick cut and found Couturier in front for an easy goal.
