Sean Couturier stays red-hot with two goals as Flyers hold off Sabres before five day break.

If the Flyers were searching for momentum to head into their bye on, they sure found some ahead of their five-day break.

Sean Couturier scored a power play goal and added an empty netter as the Flyers beat the Sabres 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center to win their third straight game after a disappointing loss to Pittsburgh to start the new year.

It was never easy as the Flyers, playing the second of a back-to-back, fought off the gritty Sabres for much of the third period as they protected a 2-1 lead.
