The Columbus Blue Jackets have never been a team that screams of interest and intrigue on a national level, but heading into the 2019-20 season the feeling is a bit different. Last season, the Blue Jackets finished right in the middle of the league in almost every statistical category, while also posting below-average special teams numbers, but a strong finish to the season pushed them into the playoffs for a first round against the eventual Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.
