The Philadelphia Flyers returned to the Wells Fargo Center needing two points to keep up in the wildcard race. They got off to a slow start against the Ottawa Senators with a sloppy first half of the opening frame.
But they would flip the script in the second, scoring three goals thanks to a strong forecheck and persistent play in the offensive zone. Oskar Lindblom opened the scoring after a Shayne Gostisbehere shot deflected off him and into the net to tie things in the second.
Michael Raffl and Scott Laughton provided big goals to back Brian Elliott to a 3-2 win over the Senators.
