The Philadelphia Flyers faced the Pittsburgh Penguins Monday night in another battle of Pennsylvania. It was the prequel for their Outdoor Classic Game in a couple of weeks and the red-hot Flyers were looking to pounce.
The game was all Penguins. Pittsburgh got out to an early lead and were saved by a stellar performance in net by Matt Murray, who made 50 saves on 51 shots. The Flyers lost 4-1 and return to action on Tuesday night in Minnesota.
