Philippe Myers just completed his first taste of NHL action with the Flyers and now heads over to join Team Canada in Slovakia for the 2019 IIHF World Championship.
Myers, 22, joins teammates Sean Couturier and Carter Hart for Team Canada after playing in 22 games for the Flyers this past season. In his first extended action in the NHL, Myers notched a goal and an assist, but impressed with strong work in his own zone and aggressive play on the puck.
The Flyers rookie joins Dante Fabbro, Darnell Nurse, Shea Theodore, Damon Severson, Troy Strecher, and Thomas Chabot on the Canada defense.
