The quarterfinals of the 2019 IIHF World Championships got underway on Thursday, and if you read our previous article or the blurb directly above, you know that the Philadelphia Flyers had eight players vying to get their home country a gold, silver, or bronze medal. With that being said, how did each Flyers player and their team fair during elimination action?
Beginning with the good news, Team Canada was able to sneak passed Team Switzerland with a 3-2 win in overtime. They tied the game with not even a second left on the clock in the third period, and Vegas Golden Knights forward Mark Stone eventually potted the game-winner.
