Prior to the start of Training Camp and preseason, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that forward Tyler Pitlick underwent wrist surgery that would keep him out of action for about four weeks. Now around three weeks into that time frame, Pitlick should take part in on-ice activities in the near future, meaning he’ll finally have the chance to earn a role on the Flyers if he performs well. Coming into the year, it was thought that Pitlick would be almost a lock for a Bottom-6 position, but with younger talents shining through the early goings of the preseason, that may not be the case anymore.
