The deadline to file for an arbitration hearing was Friday at 5 pm EST, and Philadelphia Flyers Restricted Free Agent Scott Laughton was one of the 40 players to do so before the cutoff point came around. Laughton was the only Flyers RFA with arbitration rights due to being in the NHL for at least four years, giving he and Philadelphia a chance to meet with a neutral third party to settle on a new contract.
Laughton definitely deserves to be paid more than his 1.05 million dollar qualifying offer suggests as he was the Flyers best fourth liner during the 2018-19 season.
