The Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly made what seems to be their final roster cuts, waiving both forwards Dale Weise and Taylor Leier.
Weise doesn’t come as much of a surprise. He’s underperformed since arriving to Philadelphia and no team will want to touch the remaining of his four year contract the Flyers signed him to in the summer of 2016.
Leier, on the other hand, is a little more shocking. The Flyers had just one remaining player to waive coming into Monday and was thought to be one of Leier, Weise, or Jori Lehtera, so it’s interesting they decided to waive two of them.
