Following a 5-4 loss in their Rookie Game matchup last week, the Philadelphia Flyers will look to avenge that losing effort and begin the 2019-20 preseason on the right note as they play host to the New York Islanders at the Wells Fargo Center. Brian Elliott is slated to start for the Orange and Black, with Alex Lyon backing him up. Elliott posted a 2.96 Goals Against Average with a .907 save percentage in 26 games for Philadelphia last season and will hope to be more durable this time around. Lyon is projected to take over for Elliott sometime during the second period.
