After trading for defensemen Matt Niskanen and Justin Braun, the Philadelphia Flyers have continued to make moves as they’ve officially signed forward Kevin Hayes to a seven-year contract, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie. The Flyers acquired his rights from the Winnipeg Jets a couple of weeks back and obviously didn’t want to let him reach the Free Agent market.
The deal is reportedly for a whopping 50 million dollars with an Average Annual Value (AAV ) of 7.14 million. Fletcher paid that man his money in a big way, and the Flyers have now mostly solidified their center group once they sign Restricted Free Agent Scott Laughton to a deal of his own.
