The Philadelphia Flyers rounded out their 2019 NHL Entry Draft with a tradition like no other. They traded their second selection in the seventh round to the Montreal Canadiens for a 2020 seventh rounder. This is the third straight year they’ve done so, dating back to the Ron Hextall era. They did make a selection in Round 7, too, as General Manager Chuck Fletcher chose right-winger Bryce (no, not Harper) Brodzinski with pick number 196. Bryce is the brother of Los Angeles Kings forward Jonny Brodzinski, who’s played a total of 54 NHL games while scoring 11 points during that span.
