The Philadelphia Flyers re-signed forward Petr Straka to 1-year deal today. Straka was a restricted free agent and played for the Phantoms last season.
Straka is 24-year old forward, originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2nd round of the 2010 NHL draft. The Blue Jackets never signed him to an entry-level contract, and he passed through the 2012 NHL draft without being selected. The Flyers then signed Straka as an unrestricted free agent in April 2013.
Straka had a pretty productive season last season for the Phantoms, finishing 3rd on the team with 19 total goals.
