Just under a week after the Penticton Vees announced that Jay O’Brien would join their team in the British Columbia Hockey League, another Philadelphia Flyers prospect will be switching leagues for the 2019-20 campaign. Goaltender Matej Tomek has left the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the NCAA to play in the Tipsport Liga for the HK Dukla Trencin in his native country of Slovakia. He will more than likely serve as a backup to veteran Michal Valent, who played a total of 98 games for the club in the last two years.
