The Philadelphia Flyers made a roster move after their victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday and placed goaltender Anthony Stolarz on waivers. This move was expected with the addition of Calvin Pickard earlier this week, and more than likely means Pickard will be with the Flyers to face his old team in Colorado.
It’s very likely the 6’6 net-minder will not get claimed, as NHL teams already have their final rosters set. Stolarz also doesn’t have the NHL experience that some teams may look for in a backup goaltender, playing in just seven career NHL games.
