Paul Holmgren, who has served as Philadelphia Flyers Team President, has received a new role with the organization. The 63-year-old executive has been named as Senior Advisor to Comcast Chairman and CEO and Flyers Governor Dave Scott and General Manager Chuck Fletcher. With this organizational shift, Fletcher will become the new President of Hockey Operations and reports directly to Scott. Holmgren stated that he approached Scott with the idea to step aside to spend more time with his family, which is understandable given all of the duties that come with being president of a hockey team.
