After taking a hit in the second period of Monday’s 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that Michael Raffl will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.
Raffl may not produce a whole lot in the scoring department, having just two points in nine games, but he is a big part of the Flyers penalty-killing unit. The team will need to have a next man up mentality, and cant dwell on losing yet another player to injury.
The injury to Raffl could give a younger player the opportunity to get some ice time with the big club.
