Philadelphia Flyers: Joel Farabee to Turn Professional Next Season

In a somewhat expected move, Philadelphia Flyers forward prospect Joel Farabee announced on his Instagram account that he’s signed his entry-level contract with the Orange and Black. He will rehab an unspecified injury when he arrives in Philadelphia and try to help the Lehigh Valley Phantoms make a push for the Calder Cup playoffs when he’s fully healthy.

Farabee, who turned 19 this past February, had a tremendous freshman season with Boston University. He posted 36 points in 37 games with the Terriers, which led all players on the team for the year.
