We’re all aware by now that Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty has many great qualities. He possesses a tremendous sense of humor, savagery, and can be an outstanding friend as we’ve seen with Captain Claude Giroux. One trait that’s flown under the radar, though, is Gritty’s athleticism. The mascot’s exhibited quite the skillset since his arrival to the team last year and not just on the ice.
Now, I know he got off to a bit of a rocky start when he slipped and fell in his first appearance at a Flyers preseason game in 2018, but since then, absolutely nobody’s been able to touch the furry, orange creature.
