Well, the Philadelphia Flyers sure made it interesting with their moves in the first round. After trading the 11th overall pick to the Arizona Coyotes for the 14th and 45th selections, General Manager Chuck Fletcher chose defenseman Cam York from the United States Developmental Program (USDP). While it wasn’t the popular pick, York will definitely add a high amount of skill to the Flyers farm system.
My only issue with this choice was that they simply passed up on the better player in my eyes, Assitant GM Brent Flahr said they went with the best player available and had York ranked in the Top-10, which I disagree with.
