Having lost their last 3 games, the Philadelphia Flyers and their fans were beginning to get very nervous. After a strong playoff push for the last 6 weeks, it all could’ve slipped through their fingers at the last moment. The Flyers technically controlled their own destiny, but a little help would go a long way.
Right from the start of the day, the help came for the Flyers. Both the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings lost their final games of the season, meaning all that the Flyers needed were 2 total points from their weekend games.
