Philadelphia Flyers fall to Avalanche 4-1

After a solid performance in the 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils, the Philadelphia Flyers hoped to obtain their first win streak of the season as they faced the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche are 3-0-2, and were on a two game winning streak coming into the game.

Brian Elliott started in-net, opposing Semyon Varlamov. Varlamov had a record of 3-0-1 coming in, and held the Flyers to just two goals in their last meeting earlier in the season.

The first period started with Jordan Weal taking a tripping penalty and put the Avalanche on an early power-play opportunity.
