Philadelphia Flyers blown out by Islanders 6-1

Coming off another loss on Thursday night, the Philadelphia Flyers took on the New York Islanders hoping to stop their losing streak at two games.

Michal Neuvirth made his season debut for the team, opposing Robin Lehner. Neuvirth suffered a groin injury back in training camp, and was sidelined for about a month. Mikhail Vorobyev made his return to the lineup, replacing Jordan Weal, and Andrew MacDonald was a late healthy scratch in favor of Christian Folin.

The teams traded chances to begin the first period, with Lehner making a big save on a Jakub Voracek one-timer during that span.
