It was a sad day yesterday for Philadelphia Flyers fans, as Simon Gagne officially retired.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Gagne, as he is about my age. Furthermore, he’s one of the first Flyers about whom I can personally recall every stage of his career. I remember when he was drafted, I tracked his post-draft year in juniors, and remember him breaking in as a speedy goal scorer.
Not too long ago, I profiled Gagne and named him as the 8th best goal scorer in Philadelphia Flyers history. While he scored 264 regular season goals for the Flyers, here’s three memorable playoff game winners he scored.
