With the 2019 NHL Entry Draft over a week in the past, Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher will now turn his attention towards Free Agency to not only try to further improve the Flyers in his eyes but the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, as well. After buying out the contract of defenseman David Schlemko, the Phantoms have just three blue-liners in Mark Friedman, T.J. Brennan, and Reece Wilcox in the AHL. It will be a priority for Philadelphia to add depth at that position and rumors have already started to swirl that the Flyers are the “likely the front runner” to sign former Minnesota Wild d-man Nate Prosser on a two-year, two-way deal to help fill Schlemko’s void, so keep an eye out for that as one of the depth transactions.
