The Lehigh Valley Phantoms lost another goalie to an injury and, after a late meltdown, dropped a 5-4 decision to Hershey at the PPL Center in Allentown on Saturday night.
Hershey has a lead of two games to none in the best-of-five, opening-round series. Game 3 will be at the Giant Center in Hershey on Wednesday.
The Phantoms, who took a 4-2 lead into the final period, lost despite having a 34-17 shots domination.
Chris Bourque scored with 33 seconds left to give Hershey the comeback win. The 5-foot-7, 171-pound winger fired a shot from the center of the point, whipping the puck past screened goalie Martin Ouellette.
