NEWARK, N.J. - The Flyers did everything they could to treat their preseason finale in New Jersey like a normal game night. After working out Thursday, they left for Newark, stayed overnight and had a morning skate at the Prudential Center just like a regular-season game.
New coach Dave Hakstol said he was looking to see a "progression" on the ice from the beginning of training camp.
"I'd like to see us be able to play a little bit quicker within all the areas of the game," he said a little more than two hours before the puck dropped.
