Nick Cousins agrees to new contract with Philadelphia Flyers

Three key Philadelphia Flyers players from the 2015-16 season—Brayden Schenn, Nick Cousins and Brandon Manning—have all been looking for new deals to remain in Philadelphia.

The Flyers announced Thursday that one of those players, Cousins, has agreed to a qualifying offer for a contract for the 2016-17 season. The one-year, two-way contract is reportedly worth $937,125.

Cousins was a solid third line center for the Flyers last season, recording 6 goals for 11 points in 36 games. However, Cousins is not guaranteed a spot on the opening night roster.
