Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer: The Philadelphia Flyers won’t have a ton of cap space left after Ivan Provorov, Travis Konecny, and Scott Laughton get new deals. They currently have 18 players signed with around $16 million in cap space.
After signing their RFAs, they may have around $3 million in cap space to find a third line right winger. They also need to leave some cap space for injuries and potential bonuses.
It’s curious as to why the Flyers agreed to retain a million of Radko Gudas‘ salary in the Matt Niskanen trade.
