Don’t look now, but the Flyers are in full retro mode. You may think that they are the “team of the future” as they prepare for a youth movement. However, when you dig a little deeper, this team keeps digging into its once bright past to build on the future.
After ditching Chuck Fletcher as general manager this past spring, the team hired former playoff hero Daniel Briere as the new GM. After being named as full time GM, shedding the interim role, he hired another former Flyer, Keith Jones, to the role as president of hockey operations.
