Following a three month stay in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Mikhail Vorobyev looks to be joining the Philadelphia Flyers shortly. The news of his re-call to Philadelphia broke in the middle of the night when his agent, Dan Milstein, tweeted out his congratulations.
Vorobyev, 22, has been on a roll of late, scoring two goals and picking up a total of eight points in his last six games, while also driving play at even strength alongside his new linemates Justin Bailey and Colin McDonald. Together, the three have been the Phantoms’ most consistent line ever since Bailey was acquired ten days ago, leading to Vorobyev’s +11.
