When the Flyers came on the ice for Monday's morning skate, two goalies were among the first two on the ice. Neither was starting goalie, Steve Mason. One was backup goalie Michael Neuvirth. The other, Aramark employee Justin Musciano.
Mason, who was shelled for four goals in less than seven minutes in Saturday's loss, will be out tonight due to a personal family issue. No other details were avilable.
In his stead, Neuvirth will likely get his first start for the Flyers tonight. Neuvirth, who was signed this offseason to improve the Flyers' goaltending depth, got his first action Saturday.
