MacDonald fills ailing Del Zotto's spot for Flyers

NEW YORK - After being promoted from Lehigh Valley for the second time this season, defenseman Andrew MacDonald returned to the Flyers' lineup Sunday night against the New York Rangers.

This time, he could stay there for a while.

With Michael Del Zotto sidelined for several weeks (or longer) with an apparent wrist injury, MacDonald figures to get lots of playing time. He was paired Sunday with rookie phenom Shayne Gostisbehere, who was his partner for 14 games with the Phantoms before "Ghost" was recalled Nov. 14.

"It's good any time you have familiarity with your partner," MacDonald said before the game at Madison Square Garden.
