TAMPA, Fla. - Now that he has earned a spot in the Flyers' lineup, Luke Schenn is trying to adjust to a Russian defensive partner who is still learning English.

Medvedev, 33, making the jump from Russia's KHL, made his NHL debut Thursday. He has been learning a new language by taking English lessons and watching lots of TV.
"I think I've had maybe not even half a practice with him," Schenn said before the Flyers opened their season in Tampa. "I had the white board out a little bit, and he has a little translator on his phone where I write stuff in English and he writes back in Russian.
