We survived the first day of free agency, and it certainly was an active day for the Flyers! They made their first round of additions early on, in signing Andy Andreoff, Kurtis Gabriel, Nate Prosser, and Jean-Francois Berube. Our pal Kyle recapped those additions here.
But the Flyers weren’t done just yet! Later that afternoon, they announced that they had also signed:
Defenseman Andy Welinski to a one year contract with an average annual value of $750,000. Welinski played 26 games with the Anaheim Ducks in the 2018-19 season, where he recorded four points, and 27 regular season games with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL, and recorded 19 points.
