Late score can't save Flyers from OT loss to Sabres

Danny Briere received several standing ovations Tuesday night, some when he was introduced before the opening faceoff and others when videos of the retired Flyers center were shown during the game.

The Wells Fargo crowd didn't have many other reasons to cheer - until the hectic final minute of regulation.

With goalie Steve Mason pulled for an extra attacker, Brayden Schenn tipped in Claude Giroux's shot from the top of the left circle, tying the score at 3-3 with 53.2 seconds left in the third period.

As it turned out, it enabled the Flyers to salvage a point because they lost in overtime to the lowly Buffalo Sabres, 4-3.
