THE FLYERS threw 37 shots at Carolina goaltender Cam Ward Tuesday night.
Only one went in and it really shouldn't have, and the Flyers lost a game they completely dominated, 3-1.
"Their goaltender was the difference," Flyers coach Dave Hakstol said afterward.
At this point, Rod Serling, the old Twilight Zone creator, needed to step forth. Or the clock radio in Ground Hog Day needed to start playing I've Got You Babe again.
In his first season as the Flyers head coach, Hakstol probably doesn't realize how often that line has been used in these parts over the last bunch of years, and particularly since offensive-minded Peter Laviolette's tenure came to an unprolific end early into the 2013-14 season.
