Well, that sucked.
The Philadelphia Flyers dropped an afternoon affair to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center, going down by a score of 1-0 on the strength of a standout performance by visiting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.
A failed clear by Sean Couturier late in the third lead to the only Vegas goal, and despite a golden opportunity for Claude Giroux with Philly’s net empty, Fleury was up to the task again, having robbed the Flyers captain on a breakaway earlier in the game, for a pair of his multiple highlight saves on the day.
