While the NHL playoffs are entering its final round on Saturday, there are playoff elsewhere that are looking for winners as well. One of them includes the Memorial Cup in the OHL. Two Flyers prospects are involved and are heading to the semi-final round this evening.
J.R. Avon, Brian Zanetti, and the Peterborough Petes moved on to the semi-finals after a come from behind win against the Kamloops Blazers. Both teams were fighting for a chance to stay alive in the tie-breaking game. Winner moved on for a matchup against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Despite scoring the first goal of the games, the Petes would give up the next four as the Blazers took a commanding 4-1 in the second period.
