Hockey fans in the Philadelphia area have had strong feelings about William “Cutter” Gauthier since the Flyers selected him with the fifth pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Those feelings went from excitement to disdain after the Flyers traded Gauthier to Anaheim and the organization made it known that the top prospect didn’t want to play in Philadelphia.
Gauthier is now with the Ducks in the NHL for his rookie season after getting one game at the end of last year. He has had a so-so start to his NHL career with four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 33 games this season.
