It was March of last year, the last time I felt the wrath of Ed Snider. I had waited for him after what turned out to be his last-ever team photo to ask him about his current team’s chances, and more specifically, his current general manager’s philosophy.
I felt the wrath for questioning whether what he was saying at the time conflicted with what Ron Hextall was saying at the time. Snider said, "It's not like we don't have pieces. Now the question is, do we want those pieces to just die on the vine? And go for a long-range plan?
