Flyers general manager Ron Hextall is expected to announce Wednesday whether Craig Berube will remain as his head coach.
Berube has another year left on his contract, but a disappointing season has the coach on the hot seat. The Flyers went 33-31-18, finished sixth in the eight-team Metropolitan Division, and missed the playoffs.
Several Flyers offered support for Berube as they cleaned out their lockers Monday at the team's Voorhees practice facility. Predictably, many of the players who had playing-time issues were not in his corner.
Berube, 49, said he is not concerned about rumors that he will be replaced.
