German Rubtsov Among Philadelphia Flyers Seven Roster Cuts

Following a 4-3 overtime loss at the hands of the Boston Bruins on Monday, Philadelphia Flyers General Manager and Team President Chuck Fletcher has announced seven more cuts to the roster ahead of their final United States-based preseason game against the New York Rangers on Thursday. The Flyers have sent forwards German Rubtsov, Mikhail Vorobyev, and defenseman Mark Friedman to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms while subsequently waiving forwards Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Andy Andreoff, Kurtis Gabriel and defenseman Chris Bigras. This leaves the team with 17 forwards, nine defensemen, and two goaltenders.
