Former Flyers first-round pick Samuel Morin tears ACL

The Flyers suffered an upsetting setback on Wednesday night. It was announced today that the team’s 2013 first-round selection, Samuel Morin, tore his ACL during an AHL fixture.

Morin has primarily seen action with the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms but will end his 2019 campaign after just three games. He was loaned to the AHL affiliate after being a healthy scratch through the team’s opening eleven games. That loan spell has come to a heartbreaking end. The 24-year old missed most of last season due to rehabbing his first ACL tear. This will mark the second season that Morin will be forced to watch from afar.
