A WEEKEND full of injury announcements and roster changes continued Sunday afternoon for the Flyers. Ryan White was on the unfortunate end of an awkward check from Carolina defenseman John-Michael Liles in the third period of the Flyers’ 3-2 overtime win Saturday night in Raleigh.
White, the Flyers’ fourth line winger, was reavaluated Sunday and the team announced he’d be sidelined for the next 2-4 weeks with an “upper-body injury.”
The update came on the heels of Saturday morning’s announcement that defenseman Mark Streit would be out approximately the next six weeks. Streit will undergo surgery Tuesday morning to repair a pubic plate detachment.
