The Flyers made a somewhat noteworthy signing before their loss to the Boston Bruins last night. The team announced that they have signed defenseman Wyatte Wylie to an entry-level contract. His rights were set to expire on June 1st of this year.
Wylie is in his final season with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL and is having an impressive year. Through 62 games this season, he has 14 goals and 50 assists. Both are career highs for Wylie at the junior level. He has the fourth-most points on the team and the most by a defenseman.
