The NHL and AHL veteran and the Phantoms' current captain will stay with the organization for another couple of years.
The Flyers have finally made their big move a couple of days ahead of the trade deadline:

In any case, McDonald has by all accounts done a very good job in his first year with the Flyers' organization, as he's captained the Phantoms while putting up 21 points in 34 games prior to the Phantoms' game tonight against Utica.
