If you planned on heading to Voorhees today to catch the first day of Philadelphia Flyers rookie camp -- and, you could argue, the first official day of the 2016-17 Flyers season — you might want to rethink.
The Flyers originally scheduled their first on-ice workouts of rookie camp for 3 p.m. today at the Skate Zone, but there’s been a change of plans that the team announced late Sunday evening. That first practice is canceled, and instead the rookies will take the ice for the first time Tuesday at 10 a.m.
We’re not sure of the reason behind the change in schedule, but this does leave them with just one day of on-ice workouts during the camp.
